Other questions
The course is mostly off road. For the most part it can be run without major difficulty. There are technical sections that need care, as well as footpaths and water crossings that may or may not hold water. The route passes mainly close to towns on open roads, none of which are closed to traffic, so you must follow the highway code to avoid accidents.
No. The only way to guide yourself and to know whether you are still on the correct route is to use the GPS. It is far easier than you imagine.
Yes. In some parts of the course the isolation is total, and it feels greater as the night goes on. The organisation has teams with 4x4 vehicles along the whole route to help in the most uncomfortable situations.
Very cold. You can also expect strong winds, rain or snow, though there can be splendid sunny days with mild temperatures. Whatever the conditions, the nights and the early mornings are freezing.
They are places where all participants can eat, drink, rest and wash. They are places where silence and harmony must reign.
