The Surrey Bucket List Run takes place on Saturday 20 February 2027 at the Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. The course is a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) out-and-back lap along the riverside towpath beside the River Thames, run on off-road trail terrain that is flat throughout with no elevation gain or loss. Runners decide how far they go, from a single lap up to a half marathon, marathon or ultra, all inside a seven hour time limit, and a one hour start window means they can rock up and set off when they are ready. Every finisher receives a bespoke embroidered Phoenix Running bucket hat, standard entries include a finisher's medal, and a lower priced no-medal entry is also available for anyone who would rather skip it.

You choose. Participants can complete as few or as many 5.3 km laps as they wish within the seven hour time limit. The minimum distance is a single lap, 3.28 miles, and the available options include 5 km, 10 km, half marathon, marathon and ultra.
Every finisher receives a bespoke embroidered Phoenix Running bucket hat. Standard entries also include a finisher's medal, and a digital finishers certificate is provided.
The affiliated entry price is £37.95 and the unaffiliated entry price is £39.95. Affiliated entry is for runners who are members of an athletics club affiliated to the relevant national governing body.
Yes. The event supports both attended and virtual participation, so you can take part on the riverside course or complete your distance remotely.
The course is flat with no elevation gain or loss and stays on the riverside towpath, so it is a gentle introduction to off-road running. The lap format also means you can stop after a single lap if you want to.
