The Superheroes for Autism 5K takes place on the trails of Center, Texas, with proceeds going to Uniting Pieces under Center Missionary Baptist Church to support families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. A 5K run and walk sets off at 9:00 AM, followed by a 1.5 mile walk, roll and stroll for all ages at 9:15 AM. Categories cover teens, adults, seniors and wheelchair racers, with prizes for the top three in each group. Participants who sign up early receive a guaranteed event tee, and those who collect their packets before race day get priority entrance on the day. The morning also brings superhero appearances, concessions and sponsor booths, and runners can sprint, jog or stroll at whatever pace suits them.
