The race starts at G.R. Herberger Park in Phoenix just as the sun comes up, with a small private group setting rather than a big city start line. Each distance runs in capped waves of roughly thirty minutes apart, and participants can walk or run at any pace they like, with no timing chips and no pressure. Timekeeping is self-managed through Strava, RunKeeper, Nike Run or a similar app, with results submitted online, or a coordinator can clock you at the finish. Race bibs are handed out on the day, while shirts, medals and other swag are posted to the US mailing address given at registration. Final participant information including the course maps arrives by email on the Wednesday before the event.

Other questions
After registering, use your confirmation number to reserve a wave through the wave reservation form. Wave A starts at 7:30 AM, Wave B at 8:00 AM and Wave C at 8:30 AM MST. Waves close as soon as they fill, so reserve early.
Spots sell out fast and each wave closes the moment it fills. If your preferred wave is gone, you can take the virtual run option or join the waitlist.
Your shirt is sent to your mailing address in the week of your race. Make sure your full US address, including any apartment number, is correct when you register, because that is where the shirt is posted.
It might not. Shipping may not catch up before race day, so your shirt could arrive afterwards. You are still welcome to run in whatever kit you like, and the shirt will follow in the post.
Final participant information with all the details and course maps is emailed by the Wednesday before race day. Check your inbox and spam folder around then.
