The SPORTWAY Lago Maggiore Marathon follows 42 kilometres of lakeside road from Arona to Pallanza on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore, crossing the Golfo Borromeo with the water always in view. The ground underfoot is asphalt and the route stays close to the lake, passing viewpoints towards the Borromean Islands before the finish at Pallanza. Alongside the marathon the weekend offers a half marathon, a 33 km and a 10 km, so runners of different levels share the same scenery. Entry brings chip timing, a finisher medal, a race pack, race photography and refreshment points on the course, and the 2026 edition is set for 8 November.
