Spélé'Horreur Rando & Run

The event name joins 'rando', short for randonnée, with 'run', which points to a day that welcomes both walkers and runners on the same routes. The organiser's page sets out which distances are timed or treated as races, so confirm your category when you enter.

The event is based in Cinq-Mars-la-Pile in the Indre-et-Loire department of the Centre-Val de Loire region. The precise start area and assembly point are published on the organiser's Ikinoa page ahead of the day.

The village sits on the south bank of the Loire between Tours and Chinon, and it has its own railway station on the line that follows the river, which makes the train a straightforward option from Tours. By road it is reached from the A10 and the surrounding Loire valley road network.

Courses at events of this kind in the Loire valley are usually flagged and marshalled, but the organiser has not published marking details here. Check the event page before travelling, and carry a phone or a copy of the route if you are running the longer 15 kilometre option.

The organiser's cancellation and weather policy is not stated on this page. Any decision to shorten, delay or cancel the event would be announced on the Ikinoa event page, so check it in the days before the event.
