The South Wales Pearl Harbour Military Series Run takes place at Barry Sidings Country Park in Pontypridd on Sunday 6 December 2026, the first of four military themed events that mark influential dates from the Second World War and stands alone as a timed run. The course is a single 5.3 km out-and-back lap of the Taff Trail, on tarmac and pavement throughout, that starts and finishes near Barry Sidings Cafe and passes an aid station and the park's lakes, with roughly 50 m of climbing and descending on each lap. Runners and walkers complete as many laps as they choose inside a seven hour limit, and a single lap counts as a finish. Entry options include affiliated and unaffiliated prices plus a no-medal entry at a lower fee. Every event attended in the series awards a 160 mm finisher medal, and the medals from all four events combine into a 320 mm by 160 mm mural with a flag back. The route is classed as a road course, holds an AUKCM certificate of course accuracy (25/431), and a Welsh Athletics race licence has been applied for.
