The Sonoma Fall Classic is the new autumn home of the original Lake Sonoma 50 Mile, joined by a 100 mile, a trail marathon, a half marathon and four person relays. Almost all of the running happens on rolling to downright relentless singletrack above Lake Sonoma, with long climbs, an exposed ridge or two, a crossing of the iconic bridge and a fast descent to the finish. The 100 mile and the 100 mile relay cover the 50 mile loop twice, the marathon takes in the classic Lake Sonoma loop, and the half marathon runs point to point along the shoreline. Free camping at the start and finish, post race shuttles back to each remote start line and a harvest-season setting in Sonoma County wine country fill out the weekend.

Other questions
There are two relay options, both for teams of four runners: a 100 Mile Relay and a 50 Mile Relay.
Relay legs are split into two long legs and two short legs. Two runners each cover approximately 33.8 miles, and two runners each cover approximately 16.8 miles. Teams choose which runner completes each leg.
The 50 Mile Relay is split into four legs. Leg one runs from the Start/Finish to Pritchett Peaks and back (11.6 miles), leg two runs from the Start/Finish to Warm Springs (13.6 miles), leg three runs from Warm Springs to Lone Rock (12.84 miles) and leg four runs from Lone Rock to the finish (12.25 miles). Teams choose which runner completes each leg.
For the 100 Mile Relay the exchanges are at Liberty Glen, the Start/Finish and Liberty Glen a second time. For the 50 Mile Relay the exchanges are at the Start/Finish, Warm Springs and Lone Rock.
Each relay team shares one bib and bib belt, which is provided at packet pickup. The first runner collects the bib at check-in, and at each exchange the outgoing runner hands the bib belt to the next runner. The bib must be worn at all times while on course.
