Snertcross Tilburg

Race day check-in will be located at the event base in Warandebos, Tilburg. Please arrive at least one hour before your scheduled start time. Bring your confirmation email and a valid ID. You will receive your race number and timing chip, if applicable.

Races are started in waves according to category (e.g., men, women, juniors, masters). Listen for announcements and line up behind the designated start area. A race official will give a brief instruction before the start signal. Remember to set your own pace; it's easy to start too fast on a cross country course.

The finish line is in the same event area as the start. After crossing, you'll receive a finisher's medal and possibly a bowl of traditional Dutch snert (pea soup) — a perfect reward for a cold October day. Results will be posted live online and on the notice board near the finish area.

Cross country spikes or trail running shoes with good grip are ideal, as the course runs on trail terrain through Warandebos and may be muddy, especially in late October. If the ground is dry, regular running shoes with aggressive lugs will work fine. Avoid road shoes with minimal tread.

Tilburg is well-connected by train, with direct services from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Eindhoven. Tilburg station is about a 15-minute walk or short taxi ride to the Warandebos. If flying, Eindhoven Airport is the nearest international airport, about 30 km away, with a direct train connection to Tilburg. For accommodation, look for hotels or Airbnbs in the city center, as the park is easily accessible from there.
