The SKF Goa River Marathon follows the Zuari River through Goa's riverscapes and villages on roads that are closed to traffic for more than six hours. Runners choose between the full marathon, a 32.18 km twenty miler, a half marathon, a 10 km competitive run and a 5 km fun walk, with the longest events setting off before dawn from Alto Chicalim and all of them finishing at Dabolim. The route is AIMS certified and runs on tarmac with a rolling profile, so the day is about steady pacing and warm, humid coastal conditions rather than technical ground. Hydration points, medical stations, race officials, emergency vehicles and photographers line the course, and cheering zones give spectators a clear view of the action. Beyond the running, the weekend is built as a fitness festival with live music, recovery and wellness zones, fitness challenges, culinary experiences by guest chefs and signature cocktails.

The SKF Goa River Marathon route runs parallel to Goa's Zuari River. It is AIMS certified, traffic free for more than six hours and fully supported with hydration points, medical stations and cheering zones. Race officials, emergency vehicles and photographers are on hand to keep you safe and capture your best moments.
Yes. The route is closed to traffic until 10:00 AM.
Spectators are welcome at the cheering zones. Wheelchair and differently-abled categories are not currently offered, though organisers can be contacted for support. Prams and strollers are not allowed in the 5K, and pets are not allowed at the venue or on the route for safety reasons. Minimum ages are 18 for the 42K, 32K and 21K, 16 for the 10K, and open for the 5K, where children under 12 must be accompanied.
The course is on closed roads with a rolling profile, AIMS certification and full on-course support, and there are shorter distances on the same day if you want a stepping stone. Runners should still train for heat and humidity, since December in Goa sits around 20 to 28 degrees Celsius.
