The course runs on forest trails and park paths with around 300 m of climbing, so trail shoes with reasonable grip are the sensible choice for the evening conditions.
Yes. The start and finish in Sigulda Castle Park are the easiest places to watch, and the castle ruins, Krimulda Manor and Turaida Castle along the route are all landmarks spectators can reach.
