The packages are not available to holders of Chinese passports, including Hong Kong and Macau SAR passports and Taiwan ID holders, even if those runners are residing overseas.
Overseas runner packages include three nights in a 3-star or 5-star hotel near the finish line (check-in 4 December, check-out 7 December) with breakfast, accommodation in either a shared twin room or a single room, guaranteed entry to the chosen race or races, and a complimentary shuttle bus to the start line at 5:30 AM on race morning.
No qualifying time is required. Entry to the official race is decided by ballot, and this listing offers guaranteed entry through an official tour operator package instead.
The course is flat and run entirely on closed city roads, which makes it a fast route. It is a single-lap course through central Shanghai finishing at Xujiahui Sports Park.
