The Pop Up Ghost Run is a midweek time challenge staged by Saturn Too from the Thames Edge base in Staines-upon-Thames. Runners complete as many laps as they wish of a roughly 7km loop along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames, with three laps making a half marathon, six a marathon and seven or more an ultra, and a 50km option also on offer. The seven hour clock starts at 8:30am and runs through to 3:30pm, with flexible starts from 7:30am for those who want the full window. Underfoot the route is mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section, so road shoes work all year, and the course is fully signed so no navigation is needed. The aid table sits at the start and finish of each lap, carrying drinks plus sweet and savoury snacks with vegan options, and every finisher who completes at least one lap picks a medal of their choice from past events.

You enter one of the listed distances, but because this is a time challenge you keep full control over how far you go. You can run as many or as few laps as you wish inside the seven hour limit, as long as you complete the minimum 5km.
There is a fantastic aid table and drinks table at the start and finish of every lap, with an incredible selection of drinks and savoury or sweet snacks such as crisps, cheese, fruit and cookies. Vegan options are available.
Absolutely. All abilities are welcome at these super-inclusive events, and walkers are welcome too.
If the event marks a special occasion such as your 50th, 99th, 100th, 200th or 250th run, or a half or full marathon milestone, let the organisers know and you will receive a special running number with your name and the date of the event on it.
Yes, spectators are welcome.
