It's a 7-hour time challenge where participants can choose their distance, from a minimum of 3km up to 50km. You run laps of a signed course along the River Thames.

The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. The course is fully signed and measured by laps.

All participants who complete at least 3km receive a medal. Distance pins for half marathon, marathon, 50km, and ultra distances are attached to the medal ribbon.

The event commemorates those who made the ultimate sacrifice in conflicts worldwide. A two-minute silence is held, and two minutes are removed from official times.
