São Jorge de Ponta a Ponta takes place on Saturday 29 May 2027 on the island of São Jorge in the Azores, Portugal. The name means end to end, and the day brings together runners, walkers, relay teams and mountain bikers on the island's trails, tracks and rural lanes. Entries are offered over 80 km, 64 km, 45 km and 30 km, with walking and relay versions of several routes and two mountain bike categories. The scenery moves between green ridges, coastal cliffs and small island villages, and the full distance is designed as a single crossing of the island. Details on the exact routes, start times and entry fees are published on the organiser's own website.

Other questions
São Jorge has its own airport with connecting flights from the other Azorean islands, and the island is also served by inter-island ferries. Most international visitors fly into Ponta Delgada or Terceira first and then connect onwards. Check schedules early, because island services are limited and fill up around event weekends.
Yes. The programme includes walking options over 64 km and 30 km alongside the running distances, so participants who prefer to walk the route can take part.
The Estafeta is a relay category run over the 64 km route, allowing a team to share the distance between its members.
Yes. Two mountain bike categories are listed, the full BTT - MTB route and the shorter BTT - MTB Meia Ponta.
Late May on São Jorge is mild and often damp, with a mix of sunshine, low cloud and passing showers, plus wind on the exposed ridges and cliffs. Conditions can change quickly during the day, so layers and a waterproof jacket are worth carrying.
