The Hull Santa Fun Run and Walk takes place in Pickering Park, Hull, on a measured 2.5 km course that follows paths around much of the park, including the whole lake perimeter. Participants can complete a single lap or add a second lap to make a 5 km outing, and the event is not timed so the emphasis stays on festive fun rather than pace. Everyone wears a Santa suit supplied with their entry, with adult, youth and child sizes available, and the organisers keep the route on hard ground where possible so wheelchairs and pushchairs can join in. Mobile catering serves hot food and drinks, a raffle and tombola run alongside the running, and spectators are welcome to cheer everyone round.
