The Salmsacher Grenzlauf is a village running event staged in Salmsach in the Swiss canton of Thurgau, close to the shore of Lake Constance. The programme is built around an 11 kilometre main course, the Grenzlauf Hauptstrecke, and spreads out into shorter races of 8 km, 3.2 km, 1.9 km, 1 km and 0.6 km, so the day covers everything from a proper winter run to short dashes for younger participants. It is held on a Sunday in late February, when the Thurgau lake district is usually cold, often frosty and quiet. Start times, entry fees, course maps and age categories are published on the organiser's Race Result page rather than on this calendar listing.

Salmsach is a small municipality in the canton of Thurgau in eastern Switzerland, a short distance inland from the shore of Lake Constance between Romanshorn and Arbon.
Late February in the Thurgau lake district is typically cold, with temperatures often close to freezing and a real chance of frost, slush or snow underfoot. Dress in layers you can adjust and consider shoes with a little extra grip.
Distance changes, transfers and refunds are handled by the organiser, not by this calendar. Contact them through the details on the Race Result page before race day.
The courses are short and stay around the village, so friends and family can usually see runners pass more than once. Village facilities are limited, so plan to be self-sufficient for food and drink.
