Other questions
Because registration is already open and popular Japanese marathons often fill up or use a lottery, enter as early as possible. Confirm the official entry deadline, payment deadline, and whether capacity limits apply to the Marathon, Premium, Beginner Support, Enjoy Aid, or Team categories. If you need a hotel near GMO Arena Saitama, book it at the same time as your entry, since race weekend accommodation in Saitama Shintoshin and Omiya can sell out quickly.
The start and finish are in front of GMO Arena Saitama, also known as Saitama Super Arena. Expect athlete check-in, bib collection, and a race festival area near the venue. Arrive early to allow time for security checks, bag drop, warm-up, and finding your start corral. Corrals are usually assigned by estimated finish time, so line up according to your expected pace. Listen for announcements and follow marshals’ instructions for the mass start.

After you cross the finish line, follow the flow to receive your finisher items, water, and any food or recovery support, then collect your bag and exit the finish area.
The venue is about a three-minute walk from Saitama Shintoshin Station, so trains are the most practical option. Roads around GMO Arena Saitama will likely be closed or congested, and parking is very limited. Check the first train times and allow extra time for crowded stations and security. Follow event signage from Saitama Shintoshin Station to the race festival and start area.
The main international gateways are Haneda Airport (HND) and Narita Airport (NRT). From Haneda or Narita, take trains to Saitama Shintoshin Station, often via Tokyo, Shinjuku, or Omiya. Saitama Shintoshin Station is about a three-minute walk from GMO Arena Saitama. If you arrive by Shinkansen, get off at Omiya Station and transfer to a local line for Saitama Shintoshin.
