Arrive with enough time to collect your race number, use the toilets, warm up and get to the start area before it gets busy. Bring your confirmation email or ID in case you need to show it at check-in. Listen to the race announcements and follow the instructions from the marshals, especially around the start, as the 10K, 5K and children's runs may have separate start areas or times.

Each race has its own route, and the 10K and 5K both circle or use parts of the lakeside area. Course maps and the start and finish locations are usually shared on the organisers' website before the event. Study the map in advance, and follow the course markings and marshals on the day, especially at junctions or where paths split, so you stay on the correct route.

Details about medical cover have not been published, so check the organisers' website for information on first aid, medical staff and emergency arrangements. As a general rule, stop and raise your hand or alert the nearest marshal if you feel unwell, and do not try to continue through pain or dizziness.
