Starts and finishes in Media City Piazza, following a flat 2.5 km loop through Media City UK, crossing the Millennium Bridge, passing the Imperial War Museum and running alongside the television studios.

Getting There

By Metrolink: the 'Media City' station is directly next to the event village, or 'Imperial War Museum' station is a short walk away; Media City can be accessed from the city centre, changing at Cornbrook if necessary. By train: the closest station is Salford Crescent, approximately a 10 minute journey by taxi. By bus: several services stop in and around MediaCityUK, including from Manchester city centre, Intu Trafford Centre, Hulme, Swinton and East Didsbury, with frequent services from outside Salford Crescent station. By car: from the M60 ring road onto the M602, exiting at junction 3 signposted Salford Quays/Trafford Park, then following signs for Salford Quays turning right onto Broadway at the first set of traffic lights.

ParkingThere is no specific event parking. The Media City and Lowry Outlet multi-storey car parks are located nearby; arrive before 6pm if you plan to use these car parks as there will likely be queues on arrival.

AccessibilityBuggy runners and wheelchair athletes are welcome — please remain mindful of runners around you and make yourself known when overtaking. Running with a dog is not permitted at this event, though spectators may bring dogs into the event village on a lead at all times.

ToiletsThere will be portable toilets available within the event village. Due to the lapped nature of the course, you will also be able to access these toilets during the race.

Bag dropYes — there will be a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number; tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to staff. We recommend bringing as little baggage as possible.
