Two road races take over the MediaCity UK estate in Salford, using a 2.5 km loop that starts and finishes at Media City Piazza. The ground underfoot is tarmac and paved path rather than trail, and the circuit crosses the Millennium Bridge, slips past the Imperial War Museum and runs alongside the ITV and BBC television studios before turning back through the waterfront beside the event village. Runners in the 5k complete two circuits and the 10k four, with distance flags every kilometre, marshals around the course, and water passed on each lap as well as at the finish. A staffed event village with food and drink, portable toilets and a secure baggage marquee keeps the day moving, and every finisher collects a themed medal along with free race photos and post race goodies. The whole event closes after two hours.

Other questions
The course is a 2.5 km loop. The 5k is two circuits and the 10k is four, with water passed on every lap and distance flags marking each kilometre.
Yes. A secure baggage marquee is available in the event village.
Because the course is a short lapped loop, spectators can see runners several times. The piazza start and finish, the Millennium Bridge and the waterfront near the event village are the easiest spots.
