Run Media City takes place on 29 July 2027 at MediaCity UK in Salford, with the start and finish in Media City Piazza. Both the 5K and the 10K follow a flat 2.5 km loop on tarmac and paved waterfront paths, passing the Millennium Bridge, the Imperial War Museum and the nearby ITV and BBC studios, with kilometre flags and marshals around each lap. Water stations are passed on every lap and again at the finish. Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip timed results, post race goodies and a secure bag drop, and the event village offers food, drink and partner giveaways. It is an evening event with a two hour cut off, and buggy runners and wheelchair athletes are welcome while running with dogs is not permitted.
