Run Like A Nut is part of the 21st Annual SC Pecan Music & Food Festival and offers a 5K, a 10K and a USATF-sanctioned half marathon on the streets of Downtown Florence, South Carolina. Runners set off from 120 E Elm St in waves through the morning, with the half marathon leading the day at 8:00 AM, followed by the 10K at 8:30 AM and the 5K at 9:00 AM. The roads are paved city streets in the heart of town, and every finisher collects a medal. The finish sits two blocks from the festival itself, so the day continues with music, food and downtown festivities. Strollers and dogs are welcome, and the event goes ahead rain or shine.
