Corri per il Verde is one of central Italy's longest-running cross-country fixtures, a historic appointment for Rome's running community created to promote outdoor sport and care for the environment. The opening stage unfolds inside the Riserva Naturale della Valle dell'Aniene, where dirt trails, gentle climbs and descents and quiet natural viewpoints frame a morning of running, friendship and respect for the green spaces of the capital. Runners of every age and standard take part, and the day comes with chip timing, a photo service and refreshment points along the route.
