The Run for Chocolate brings a deliberately small, capped-field run to G.R. Herberger Park in Phoenix, with 5K, 10K and half-marathon options alongside a one mile family fun run and a virtual entry. Waves set off at 7:30, 8:00 and 8:30 in the morning so the field never feels crowded, and runners and walkers of every pace share the course while coordinators stay on site to cheer them in. Timing is optional: participants track their own splits on Strava, RunKeeper or Nike Run and submit them online, or ask a coordinator to time them. Race swag, including the shirt and finisher medal, ships to the entrant's US mailing address in race week, and bibs are handed out on the morning itself. Final participant information and course maps are emailed on the Wednesday before the event.

Other questions
The entry includes a running t-shirt, a finisher's medal, a virtual training run emailed a month before the race, online results plus a certificate of completion, and an invitation to a local running club. Your shirt is shipped to your US mailing address and typically arrives the week of your race. Double-check your full mailing address, including apartment number, when registering.
No. Packet pickup is deliberately skipped, so there are no lines. Your swag ships straight to your door and race bibs are handed out on race morning at the venue.
It might not. Shipping may not catch up that quickly, so your shirt could arrive after race day. You can still take part as planned and wear whatever you like on the day.
After registering, use your confirmation number to reserve a wave through the linked wave reservation form. Wave A starts at 7:30, Wave B at 8:00 and Wave C at 8:30. Each wave is capped and closes as soon as it fills, and wave times can shift with the season, so confirm in your participant info email.
Just join in when you arrive. Coordinators stay on site for three hours after the first wave, so a late start is not a problem.
