Run Bolton Abbey takes place on the Bolton Abbey Estate in North Yorkshire, with a choice of half marathon, 10 mile, 10k and 2.4 mile family fun run. All of the routes follow trail through the estate and now run around the Abbey itself, giving runners access to parts of the grounds that are not usually open to the public. Races set off in waves just after 9am and the morning pauses at 11am for a minute's silence to mark Remembrance Day. Every finisher receives a medal carved from fallen trees on the estate, free parking is included with entry, and all proceeds support the care provided by Sue Ryder.
