Rosa sløyfe-løpet Lørenskog is a charity running event staged in the Lørenskog area on the outskirts of Oslo, held each October as part of Norway's Pink Ribbon campaign for breast cancer awareness. Runners take on a 6 kilometre course, and a separate Mini race for children aged three to nine runs on the same day so that families can join in together. Rosa sløyfe-løpet is part of Norway's Pink Ribbon campaign, which raises money and awareness for breast cancer research and support. Taking part helps fund that work.
Nordic autumn events generally go ahead in rain and cold, and are only cancelled in genuinely unsafe conditions. Any weather-related decision will be communicated by the organiser directly to entrants.
You can register right up until race day, even right up to just before the start, as long as you manage to collect your bib before the start. All registration is done online – it is not possible to register at the start area. The race has sold out in all cities the last two years, so it pays to register early.
You choose yourself whether you walk, jog or run. Time and pace are not the most important thing in this race – it is about covering the distance together for a good cause.
