Rockville 10K/5K is a community road race run on the paved streets of the King Farm neighbourhood in Rockville, Maryland, staged by the City of Rockville together with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club. Entrants choose between a 10K and a 5K, and children get their own one-mile fun run before the main races. The 10K starts at 8:30 AM and the 5K at 8:45 AM, with the kids' mile going off first at 8:10 AM after packet pickup opens at 7:30 AM. A 15-minute-per-mile pace requirement applies so that the roads can reopen on schedule, and walkers are explicitly welcomed in the 5K. The race runs annually in early November.

Other questions
Packet pickup opens at 7:30 AM, about an hour before the first race goes off.
Yes. Runners are expected to maintain a brisk 15-minute-per-mile pace. This is a safety measure tied to the schedule for reopening the roads to traffic.
Yes. Walkers are explicitly welcomed in the 5K, which is the shorter and more relaxed option of the two adult races.
The event is brought to the community by the City of Rockville together with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club (MCRRC).
The 5K is the shorter and more forgiving option and is the one the organiser actively invites walkers to enter. The 10K suits runners who already have some road-race experience and want a longer morning out.
