Rivington Wild Trail Runs are staged by Wild Deer Events on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, with Rivington Hall as the base and Rivington Pike rising above the course. Runners pick between a 5 km, a 10 km and a half marathon route, all of them on trail and all of them well signed, with views out across the valley. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. The event is canicross friendly, so one well-controlled dog per runner is welcome as long as the dog stays on a lead for the whole run. Everyone who crosses the finish line collects an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise and a drink and snack, and a bespoke event T-shirt can be added to an entry for 14.00 pounds. Entry fees run between 25.00 and 35.00 pounds depending on the distance chosen.
