The evening begins near Kintetsu Ikoma Station, where participants board a cable car up to the midsection of Mount Ikoma before setting off on an 18 km route that mixes well-maintained asphalt with steep climbs and wide views over the Osaka plain. Runners of many backgrounds take part, from people new to trail running to seasoned marathoners looking for natural landscapes. After the run, everyone gathers at an outdoor seating area lit by soft lights for an authentic Sri Lankan curry buffet that is included in the event fee. A gentle night hike of roughly 3.2 km, about 50 minutes on foot, then leads the group back down to Kintetsu Ikoma Station.
