The Red Shoe 5k sets off from National Harbor Boulevard in National Harbor, Maryland, with a 5k run and walk on paved roads and paths along the waterfront. A short Kid's Fun Run starts before the main event, so families can take part together. Every step supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC and its work keeping families close to their children during treatment. Both in-person and virtual entries are offered, and the day is built around joy, community and raising funds for the charity.
