The Rando/Trail/Canicross Rose takes place in Viels-Maisons, a village in the Aisne department of Hauts-de-France, on Sunday 4 October 2026. The event brings together three ways of moving over the same countryside: a rando (a relaxed group walk), a trail run, and a canicross in which runners are harnessed to their dogs. Terrain is off-road on the paths and tracks around the village. Yes. The randonnee is a walk, which makes the day accessible to families, children and anyone who prefers a gentler pace. Walkers and runners usually set off separately and share the same village atmosphere afterwards.
The event is run by a local association for the children and young people of Viels-Maisons, and the Rose theme supports the October breast cancer awareness campaign. The beneficiary and the amount raised in past editions are confirmed by the organiser.
Autumn weather in the Aisne can be wet and cold, so dress for the conditions and expect the ground to be soft underfoot. Any decision to shorten, delay or cancel the event because of severe weather is announced by the organiser on their website and social channels.
Yes. As a village event with a start and finish in the same area, it is easy for spectators to cheer participants in and to stay for the refreshments and the prize giving afterwards.
