Overview

The Ramsbury Half Marathon & 10km is a trail and multi-terrain race based at Ramsbury Brewery, with routes through local trails, woodland and footpaths on the Ramsbury Estate. Around 85% of the 10km and 70% of the half marathon are off road, with roughly 180m and 285m of climbing respectively. A separate canicross 10km starts apart from the main field and is open to runners with dogs. Every finisher returns to the brewery to collect a medal and a Ramsbury pint cup, which can be filled with a cold beer or a non-alcoholic drink, and race photos are free to download afterwards.

Before you enter

RefundsThe organisers do not issue refunds on entry fees, including in force majeure situations such as foot and mouth or coronavirus pandemics. Optional refund protection through XCover is offered at checkout for an additional fee, covering injury or illness including Covid-19, adverse weather on race day, public transport disruption, and breakdown or accident.

TransfersMore than three months before race day, entrants can defer to a future event, transfer their entry to somebody else, or marshal at this event in exchange for a deferral to a future event. Less than three months before race day, entrants can transfer their entry to somebody else, provided the replacement's details are supplied at least two weeks before the event, marshal in exchange for a deferral until one week before the event, or forfeit the entry in exchange for a 50% off voucher for any future event, available until one week before the event.

DeferralsDeferral to a future Racing Line Running event is available if you contact the organisers more than three months before race day. Within three months of the event, you can opt to marshal at this event in exchange for a deferral, up to one week before race day. Canicross entrants can also defer more than one week before the event.

If the race is cancelledNo refunds are issued. If the organiser has to cancel the event, entries can be deferred to a future event and entrants may also opt to take part virtually instead.

Bad weatherThe organiser reserves the right to amend event details if required, but will only do so if absolutely necessary and will give entrants the maximum period of notice possible. Canicross entrants worried about warm weather can defer their entry more than one week before the event, or switch to the non-Canicross 10km within a week of the event.

Minimum ageParticipants in the 10km and Canicross 10km must be aged 16 or older on race day, while the Trail Half Marathon requires entrants to be 18 or older on race day.

DogsYes. There is a dedicated Canicross 10km with its own separate start. The trail route is canicross friendly, so dogs run the same trails from the Ramsbury Brewery.
