Overview

The race sets off from beside the Monument of the Silesian Insurgent in Zdzieszowice on 11 November, Polish Independence Day. The main 12 km race stays on asphalt streets the whole way, taking in the climb up Góra Św. Anny and a quick descent back towards Leśnica with around 218 m of elevation change. A 5 km companion race blends roughly 3.5 km of streets with 1.5 km of forest paths, while children and teenagers from 0 to 16 race short distances of 100 m to 900 m on the alleys around the monument. Electronic chip timing, a medal at the finish and a recovery meal are provided for all participants, and awards are given after each race.

Asphalt roads throughout, with about 218 m of elevation change over the 12 km.

Route

Starts and finishes beside the Monument of the Silesian Insurgent at ul. Filarskiego 21 in Zdzieszowice. The route runs entirely on streets, takes in the climb up Góra Św. Anny and a fast descent back towards Leśnica before returning to the monument.

Race Day

11 November 2026: the race office by the Monument of the Silesian Insurgent is open 10:00-11:30 for the main races and 11:00-11:45 for the children's races; the 12 km starts at 12:00, the 5 km at 12:05 and the children's races from 12:10.

A recovery meal is provided at the finish after the races.

Finisher t-shirtYes, a t-shirt or cap can be added for 30 PLN (adults) or 20 PLN (children and young people). The option must be selected during registration, by 18 October 2026 for the main races.

Finisher certificateCompetitors must hold a current medical certificate or sign a declaration that they take part at their own risk. Minors can only start on the basis of a declaration signed by a parent or legal guardian at the race office.

Food after the finishA recovery meal is served at the finish for all participants

PrizesThe 5 km has a general women's and men's classification with no age categories. The 12 km has age categories M-20, M-30, M-40, M-50, M-60 and K-20, K-30, K-40, K-50, K-60, plus classifications for the fastest resident of Gmina Zdzieszowice and Gmina Leśnica, ArcelorMittal Poland employees, the most numerous team and the fastest team. Statuettes go to the top three places and there is a 100 PLN bonus for anyone breaking the course record.

Minimum ageThe children's and youth races start at the Monument of the Silesian Insurgent in turn: 12:10 over 100 m (born 2021 and later), 12:20 over about 300 m (born 2018-2020), 12:30 over about 600 m (born 2015-2017) and 12:40 over about 900 m (born 2010-2014). Awards follow straight after each race and times may shift by a few minutes.

Collecting your numberRace numbers are issued at the race office beside the Monument of the Silesian Insurgent in Zdzieszowice on 11 November 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 for the 5 km and 12 km races and from 11:00 to 11:45 for the children's and youth races.
