The Pirate 5K Booty Run is the tenth running of the Pirate's of the Cure-i-bbean event in Fresno, California, and it sends runners and walkers around a music-lined course where costumed scallywags lie in wait. The 5K covers 3.1 miles and can be sprinted, jogged or strolled, while a two mile untimed run and walk gives families and younger children a gentler way to join in. Every finisher collects a Finisher Pirate Medallion and an event shirt, with the chance to unlock treasures from the Pirate's Chest at the end. Pirates of all ages are encouraged to dress the part, and the 5K is the second race in the Cal Classic Runner of the Year Series. Both distances start at 9:00 AM from the Group Activity Area in Fresno.
