Three distances, a 5K, a 10K and a 13.1M, share a single 8:30 AM start at Deer Valley Park in north Phoenix. The courses are run on park paths and repeat in laps, with the finish area acting as the watering point at the close of every loop, so runners and walkers pass the same support point more than once. These are deliberately small, low-pressure local races: expect a marked course, friendly staff, finisher medals and published results, but only one or two staff members on site and no EMS stationed at the venue. Participants are asked to watch the weather, carry whatever they might want between laps, and check in with race staff if they need help. The event is part of the US Road Running series, so finishing times count toward series points as well as toward another themed medal.

Fields are intentionally small. At the time of listing each distance had 80 places remaining, so these are personal, low-key races rather than big-city mass events.
