Phoenix Running stages the Red Dragon Run from the Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium on Waterside Drive in Walton on Thames, Surrey. Runners cover as many laps as they wish of a 5.3 km out and back course that follows a riverside towpath along the River Thames, with off road trail underfoot and no recorded elevation gain or loss. The format is timed rather than fixed, so a single lap of 3.28 miles counts as a finish while seven hours of running opens the door to ultramarathon distance. A one hour flexible start window lets runners set off when they are ready, and special start time requests can be accommodated depending on the chosen distance. Entry covers an aid station, same day results, an athlete profile, a digital race bib and a digital finisher certificate, and places are strictly limited.
