The course is a beautiful low-key jaunt along the River Thames from Walton on Thames towards Hampton Court and back. It's an off-road trail along the riverside towpath with no elevation gain/loss, making it completely flat and fast. Runners complete either 4 laps (half marathon) or 8 laps (marathon).
Yes, spectators are more than welcome! The Weir Pub is located right next to the start and finish line so offers an extremely convenient cheering on point for spectators.
The Weir Pub offers cold drinks, hot drinks and food from 11:00. There is also a café located at the nearby Xcel Leisure Centre.
This is an ideal course for all abilities. The completely flat terrain with no elevation gain/loss makes it perfect for beginners taking on their first half marathon or marathon, as well as experienced runners looking to achieve a quick time.
