The event takes place at Ranscombe Farm Nature Reserve near Cuxton in Kent, where runners cover a 5.3 km looped circuit that travels around the full reserve. Because the course is a repeated loop, each participant decides how many laps to complete inside a seven hour time limit, and the distances on offer run from 5 km through to the marathon and beyond. The day is fully timed, with an aid station on the circuit, same day results, digital BIBs and digital finishers certificates, and a bespoke finisher's medal for those who want one. This is the first fixture in a new Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter series that will present the reserve across all four seasons, and both attended and virtual participation options are available.

The circuit follows the paths of a large nature reserve on the North Downs, which means a mix of surfaces rather than smooth tarmac. Trail shoes or grippy road shoes are a sensible choice, particularly in a wet spring.
Cuxton and nearby Rochester, in Kent, have the closest accommodation and are a short drive from the reserve. Booking early is worthwhile because the date falls in the same period as several other races in the region.
