The Kent Chocothon is staged by Phoenix Running at Gravesend Cyclopark in Kent, where runners take on a timed loop format on tarmac tracks. The course measures 8.5 km, or 5.25 miles, and participants decide on the day how many laps they want to complete, from a single lap through to marathon distance and beyond. Everyone shares the same seven hour window to run as far as they choose. The atmosphere is friendly and low key, with an aid station stocked with chocolate and a bespoke finishers' medal waiting at the end, in a new colour for this edition.

Everyone runs the same 8.5 km (5.25 mile) tarmac circuit at Gravesend Cyclopark. You decide how many laps to complete on the day, from a single lap up to marathon distance and beyond, and you can stop for as long or as short as you like at the start and finish area before heading out again.
Yes. The event page says participants may complete as many or as few laps as they like within the seven hour time limit, so the distance is very much up to you as the day unfolds.
The event is listed with 5 mile, 10 mile, half marathon, marathon and ultra options, but the format is a single timed loop that everyone shares. The distance you select at entry reflects the distance you intend to cover, and there is flexibility on the day.
The whole course is on tarmac tracks within the Gravesend Cyclopark cycling circuit, so it is smooth, non-technical and road shoes are entirely suitable.
The lower price of £37.95 applies to runners who are affiliated to a club through the relevant national governing body. Runners who are not club affiliated pay £39.95. Both prices include the finishers' medal.
