Runners follow the Itchen Way out from Garnier Road Car Park in Winchester on a professionally measured course that holds a Road Permit and crosses the Hockley Viaduct on every lap. The format is a seven hour timed run, so entrants decide how many laps to complete, from a single three mile lap up to an eleven lap ultra. The day is built around a Dolly Parton birthday theme and fancy dress reflecting different decades is encouraged. An aid station keeps everyone moving with sweet and savoury food, a signature potato offering and plenty of vegan choices, and every entrant takes home a physical memento in the form of a bespoke finisher medal.

Everyone runs the same out-and-back lap and the clock runs for seven hours. You decide how many laps to complete inside that time, and you can stop whenever you have had enough or when the limit is reached.
One lap is roughly three miles. Five laps make the half marathon, ten laps make the marathon and eleven or more laps take you into ultra territory.
An aid station provides sweet and savoury items, including a signature potato offering, with plenty of vegan options. You pass it on each lap, so you are never far from supplies.
Fancy dress is not compulsory, but it is encouraged. The event celebrates Dolly Parton's birthday and runners are invited to dress for different decades.
Every entrant receives a physical memento in the shape of a bespoke finisher medal.
