Phoenix Fridays - Run for a Tenner Friday is a lap based timed run on the riverside towpath beside the Thames at Walton-on-Thames, held on Friday 5 February 2027. Runners set off on a measured out-and-back lap of 5.3 km (3.28 miles) along the towpath, a flat off-road trail with no elevation gain or loss, and choose how many laps to complete within a seven hour time limit. Start times are flexible in a rock up and run format, so participants begin whenever they are ready. The advertised £10 entry goes to the Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity, and all finishers, whether attending in person or taking part virtually, receive a medal or memento.

The run takes place on Friday 5 February 2027 on the riverside towpath beside the River Thames at Walton-on-Thames in Surrey, in the South East of England.
Everyone runs the same measured out-and-back lap of 5.3 km (3.28 miles) along the Thames towpath, turning and returning along the same riverside path. Runners repeat the lap as many times as their chosen distance requires, passing through the start and finish area between laps.
The run supports the Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity. Charity runs use a double-sided Rays of Sunshine medal, and all participants receive a finishers' memento.
Yes. Both attended and virtual participants receive a giveaway medal or memento, so those who cannot travel to Walton-on-Thames can still take part and receive their award.
Places are described as strictly limited, and these Friday events are deliberately smaller than Phoenix Running's weekend events, so early entry is advisable.
