Phoenix Fridays is a series of timed running events based at the Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. Runners head out along the River Thames on an off-road riverside towpath, completing a flat 5.3 km out-and-back lap as many or as few times as they wish within a seven hour window, with a single lap as the minimum distance. The March 2027 edition is a Run for a Tenner charity event supporting Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity, and every finisher, running in person or virtually, receives a medal or memento. Because distance is chosen on the day by counting laps, entrants do not need to select a distance in advance.
