The PECO Junior League comes to Middleton Park in south Leeds for one of five winter cross country fixtures staged alongside the senior league. Juniors race over a single undulating lap on grass, with roughly one mile for the under 11s and about two miles for those aged 11 to 16, and every runner is chip timed. Timing chips are embedded in the race numbers, which must be kept for the whole season, and replacements can be bought at Race HQ. Registration, Race HQ and toilets are at The Dug Out Bar at the John Charles Centre for Sport, about a 10 minute walk from the start and finish in The Clearings.

Runners who are under 11 on 1 September 2026, usually school years 2 to 6, take part in the approximately one mile race. Runners who are 11 or over but under 16 on 1 September 2026, usually school years 7 to 11, take part in the approximately two mile race.
Yes. Every entrant is allocated a race number with an embedded timing chip and it must be kept for the whole season. Lost or damaged numbers can be replaced at Race HQ for £2.50 for juniors.
Season tickets are sold online for £8 and cover the remaining races plus the end of season relays and prize presentation.
The course is a cross country route over grass in Middleton Park, run as a single undulating lap that starts and finishes in The Clearings.
