Paw Prints PetFest & 5K takes place on the off-road trails of Historic Smithville Park in Eastampton Township, New Jersey, where runners and walkers share a scenic woodland course. The 5K sets off in waves, with solo runners starting first and participants running or walking with a leashed pet following behind, and a relaxed one-mile fun trail runs afterwards for anyone wanting a shorter outing. The day is a fundraiser for animal welfare programs, so entry fees help pay for medical care and shelter dog training. Check-in opens earlier in the morning, and the finish line gives way to a festival with food, drinks and a community celebration. Entrants can collect an event shirt, and those who fundraise can earn a premium performance tee.
