The Omloop van Zoetermeer is a new city event whose first edition takes place on 23 May 2027, with a full marathon at its centre. Alongside the marathon the programme offers a half marathon, a 10K and a 5K, plus 1K and 2K races for children, so runners of every level share the same start and finish area on the day. The routes run over paved roads and cycle paths through Zoetermeer and its surroundings, and the organisers describe the event as low-threshold and welcoming to beginners as well as experienced marathoners. Entry is capped at 2,400 participants, and the day is supported by changing facilities, massage, a first aid post and AED cover.
