Set against the autumn colours of the Gheorgheni hills, OltForrás Trail is a mountain running event with start and finish at Pensiunea 7 Flori, about 3 km from the town on the road to Lacu Roșu. Runners follow forest roads and dirt trails, gaining 1000 m over 22 km in the semi-marathon or a more compact 7 km cross with 300 m of ascent. The course is a loop, bringing participants back to the event centre in a natural, remote setting. Organised by Asociația Clubul Sportiv Sfântul Gerard, the race promotes outdoor activity and brings together runners from Harghita and beyond.
