Octobre Rose Course et Balade - La Malmaison

There are two timed-style running courses, a 5 km and a 10 km, plus a 6 km ballade. The ballade is a walk rather than a race, so it is a good choice for families, for people returning to exercise, or for anyone who would rather take the route at a relaxed pace.

Octobre Rose is the French national breast cancer awareness campaign held every October, and hundreds of runs and walks are organised under its banner. Events like this one usually pass part of the proceeds to breast cancer research or support organisations. The exact beneficiary and the amount donated are set by the organising club, so ask them directly if this matters to you.

The event is held outdoors and normally goes ahead in ordinary autumn weather, so dress for the conditions. If severe weather forces a change, the club will announce it through its own channels and through the HelloAsso event page, so check there before travelling.

Small charity runs usually provide a water point and something to eat at the finish, and this event typically follows that pattern in aid of Octobre Rose. Because the exact offer is not published in advance, contact the club if you rely on specific food or drink on the day.
