Overview

The half marathon covers a certified road course with a time limit of 2 hours 40 minutes and seven cut-off points. Start blocks are assigned in advance from each runner's predicted finish time, and wheelchairs are not permitted because of the characteristics of the course.

The practical side

Qualification

Open to ages 18 and over for the half marathon and 5 km, with high school students not eligible. Walk entrants must be able to finish within the two hour time limit, and the barrier-free run is open to people with disabilities as described by the organiser. Running entrants are assigned a start block in advance based on predicted finish time.

Race Day

Day one (Dec 5) opens with the 6 km walk at 09:30 and the 1.8 km barrier-free run at 10:00. Day two (Dec 6) has the half marathon at 09:00 and the 5 km at 09:10. All events start and finish at the Mie Prefectural Sun Arena and there is no opening ceremony.

Finisher certificateA WEB record certificate is issued for all events except the walk. There is no printed results booklet and no live results board on the day.

Food after the finishThe venue hosts an Ise-Shima product fair and food and drink sampling booths. Participation gifts are a sports towel, an Oise-san ticket worth 500 yen, an eco bag, two Akafuku mochi and a drink.

Parking · PaidFor the Sunday running events, anyone without a race day parking ticket cannot use the temporary car parks around the venue or around Naiku. Applicants choose either the venue area or the Naiku area when they enter. Numbers are limited and tickets are issued on a first come, first served basis until they run out.

AccessibilityWheelchairs and similar equipment cannot be used in the half marathon or 5 km because of the nature of the course. The 1.8 km barrier-free run on the Saturday is designed for wheelchair users and others with disabilities, with free volunteer companions available.

Bag dropYes. Baggage storage is available, excluding valuables, and coin lockers are also provided for a fee.

First aid on courseThere are six first aid stations staffed by doctors, around 30 medical runners, and medical volunteers covering 18 roadside first aid points plus 12 bicycle patrols. The organiser holds sports injury insurance.

Before you enter

RefundsEntry fees and handling charges are not refunded in the case of withdrawal after entry, non-attendance, or cancellation of the event for reasons not attributable to the organiser.

TransfersYes. Bib transfer is available through the RUNNET Yuzureru service, which opens on 10 July 2026 at 00:00 and closes on 9 September 2026 at 23:59. It starts after the entry deadline or once capacity is reached.

If the race is cancelledIf the event is cancelled for reasons not attributable to the organiser, entry fees and handling charges are not refunded.

Collecting your numberThere is no race day reception for the running events or the walk. Athlete bibs, timing chips and other items are sent to you by post beforehand. Only the barrier-free run has on the day reception.
