The Bell Block round of the Nexans Fun Run/Walk Series sets off from the Bell Block Rugby, Sports and Community Clubrooms and offers 2.5km, 5km, 7.5km and 10km options on road, path and park surfaces. It is a low-key, all-ages morning where walking, jogging, strolling and racing all share the same friendly courses. The Bell Block day is one stop on an annual summer series that moves around the New Plymouth and wider Taranaki area, so the same faces tend to turn up month after month. This is a cup-free event, which means you bring your own cup or water bottle to refill along the way.

It is held on Sunday 18 October 2026 at Bell Block in Taranaki, with the start and finish based at the Bell Block Rugby, Sports and Community Clubrooms.
No. This is a fun, all-age, all-abilities series. People walk, stroll, jog and race, and every distance is open to every fitness level.
The event does not supply disposable cups at the water points, so bring your own reusable cup or water bottle and refill it as you go. Apart from that, wear comfortable running or walking gear and shoes suited to road, path and park surfaces.
It is one round of the annual Nexans Fun Run/Walk Series, which holds three to four distances at each event across the New Plymouth and Taranaki area through the summer. You can enter individual events or follow the whole series.
